Innovative Atraumatic Hernia Mesh Fixation

Glutack^® is the device that revolutionizes atraumatic fixation methods for hernia meshes, both via laparotomy and laparoscopy.

The device allows the application of Glubran^® 2 in calibrated drops: each trigger press releases a single drop, minimizing surgical complications and the pain associated with invasive fixation systems such as sutures, tacks, or clips.

This innovative system ensures maximum patient safety and ease of use for the surgeon.

Features & Benefits

• Safe
  Drop-wise application prevents any tissue penetration, unlike tacks, clips, or sutures. This reduces the risk of nerve entrapment and vascular damage, minimizing postoperative pain and complications. Safety also extends to the device itself: the tip is non-adhesive and non-clogging, ensuring reliable performance throughout the procedure.
• Strong
  Mesh fixation with Glutack provides high tensile strength, equivalent to current fixation methods: over 9 N/cm² per drop, with a strong adhesion to the mesh of 6 N/cm² per drop. No significant differences were observed in the strength of the regenerated parietal tissue compared to sutures, permanent or absorbable tacks, and Glubran^® 2.
• Fast
  Each drop of Glubran^® 2 promotes immediate adhesion of the mesh to the tissue. The device is ready for use in less than one minute, optimizing surgical time.
• Precise
  The volume of each drop (0.0125 ml) is calibrated and repeatable until the cartridge is empty, preventing product waste.
• Glutack is available in two sizes, depending on the mesh size and/or procedure requirements:
  1. 30 drops (requires a 0.5 ml vial of Glubran^® 2)
  2. 60 drops (requires a 1 ml vial of Glubran^® 2)
• The design is simple and ergonomic, with a comfortable handle: a light press on the trigger releases a drop.
• Acoustic and visual indicators confirm each drop release:
  1.The click of the trigger when pressed
• A side indicator that moves linearly, showing the amount of Glubran^® 2 dispensed and the remaining quantity
• Glutack is available in both laparoscopic and open surgery versions.
  The laparoscopic model has an articulating tip with rotational movement, allowing Glubran^® 2 to be applied perpendicularly or at any angle to the mesh or abdominal wall.
